What happens if I stop taking Provera after 4 doses, if i was prescribed 12? My doctor urged me to take it to bring on my menstrual cycle after not getting it for 4 months (I'm not pregnant) but the side effects are unbearable. Can I just stop taking it?

So sorry to hear you're having such bad side effects.  Talking to your doctor before starting, or stopping, any medication is always the best thing to do.  Before you miss your next dose, talk to your doctor, let him know how you're feeling, and ask for help.  Chances are he'll have another method or medication to solve the underlying problem.
